Since opening our lawn-care company in 1997, we’ve worked hard not only to establish ourselves as a lawn expert but also to be a company that gives back. We believe that social responsibility needs to be ingrained in what we do, which is why we have partnered with Hope Refuge Schools in Uganda.
Hope Refuge School offers a bit of hope and opportunity for a country and a community in need. Our owner Bill Greenwood has been to Hope Refuge School himself and seen the needs that exist there. The needs are great and include clean water, child sponsorships, building construction, medical care, farming assistance, and more. His heart was stirred to get involved, to do his part to help alleviate some of the poverty and effects of war for the children in Uganda.
As a result, Greenworks Lawn Care has gotten involved on the ground level. We’ve primarily been focusing on amping up the farming operations and assisting with agricultural training. We were even able to send an agricultural tractor to Uganda. But there’s still much work to be done.
